"I am involved in the f*cking fight."
“I am involved in the f*cking fight.”
Dana White is done being polite about Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua. Days after the long-awaited Battle of Britain was announced for December 11 in Cardiff, the whole thing is wobbling over one question — who gets to promote it. Eddie Hearn says Joshua's contract bars White and the UFC from any promotional role. White says that's bullsh*t.
Asked to clarify his role at the Zuffa Boxing 11 post-fight press conference, White went off. "We're promoting the fight right now," he said. "I've said 150,000 times, I don't know if I've ever known anybody who's more full of fcking sht than Eddie Hearn."
Let that sink in. Fury himself now gives the fight a one per cent chance of happening, while White says he doesn't even know if Wednesday's London press conference will go ahead. Joshua's camp insists nobody is pulling out of the £150 million super-fight.
White's side argues the contract clause covers only Zuffa Boxing and TKO Group — not White personally. "The guy who's supposed to be helping the fight has been hurting the fight the entire time," he added. "We'll all know more in the next three or four days."
Who do you believe — Dana or Eddie? Does Fury-Joshua actually happen on December 11?
