MORENO vs JOHNSON OFFICIAL For UFC 335 In LAS VEGAS
Former two-time flyweight champion Brandon Moreno gets Charles Johnson on December 12, in his third fight of 2026.
Brandon Moreno has his next fight. The former two-time UFC flyweight champion will face Charles Johnson at UFC 335.
The promotion announced the bout on Monday. It takes place on December 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Why It Matters Now
Moreno is ranked No. 8 in the flyweight rankings cited in the report. This will be his third fight of 2026.
He lost to Lone'er Kavanagh in February. He then beat Joseph Morales by split decision at Noche UFC in September.
That pattern is the story. A former champion is trying to build a real run again, not just stay active.
The Records
Moreno enters at 24-10-2 in MMA and 12-7-2 in the UFC. Those numbers show both his experience and his recent inconsistency.
Johnson enters at 20-9 in MMA and 9-7 in the UFC. He is ranked No. 15 in the same rankings.
Johnson will fight for the fifth time this year. Activity is his clear edge in this matchup.
The Test For Johnson
Johnson has traded wins and losses over his last six fights. He has struggled to keep momentum.
His last fight was a strong one. He submitted Eduardo Chapolin with a Scottish twister at UFC 330.
Beat Moreno, and that inconsistency talk ends fast. A win over a former two-time champion changes his place in the division.
The Card Around It
UFC 335 is a major end-of-year card. Charles Oliveira vs Diego Lopes for the BMF title is listed on the card.
Sergei Pavlovich vs Alex Pereira and Joe Pyfer vs Bo Nickal are also listed. Moreno vs Johnson sits on a card full of big names.
So can Moreno turn one split-decision win into a real streak, or does Johnson take the biggest win of his career?
