HOKIT SLAMS PEREIRA: "FORGOT WHO MADE HIM RICH"
“Hokit said Pereira forgot who made him rich.”
Josh Hokit defended the UFC after Alex Pereira accused the promotion of pushing agendas, and he turned the feud personal again.
Josh Hokit says Alex Pereira forgot who made him rich.
Hokit posted that charge on social media on Tuesday. He was defending the UFC after Pereira accused the promotion of pushing agendas with its fights.
The insult was personal, and it was fast. Hokit answered only hours after Pereira's comments spread.
Why It Matters Now
These two have feuded for months. They first clashed face to face in the Freedom 250 fight-week chaos.
Hokit wanted Pereira as a fight. Instead, the UFC moved him straight into a title shot against Ciryl Gane at UFC 334.
That decision angered Pereira. He believes the promotion builds fights up before fans can judge them on their own.
"Now runs his mouth, forgot who made him rich."

The Stakes On Both Sides
Hokit is 10-0 in MMA and 4-0 in the UFC. He challenges Gane on November 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Gane is 14-2 in MMA and 11-2 in the UFC. He holds the undisputed heavyweight title and defends it for the first time.
Pereira has his own road back. He makes his second heavyweight appearance at UFC 335, against Sergei Pavlovich.
A Fight Building Itself
Win, and Hokit is champion. Win, and Pereira stays in line for the next big heavyweight fight.
That is why this feud matters. These are not two men trading insults with no path to each other.
If both men win, the UFC may not need to push any agenda at all. The fight will already be sold.
Does Hokit back up the talk against Gane — and set up Pereira for real?
