BUCKLEY AND MALOTT MAKE WEIGHT — EDMONTON MAIN EVENT IS OFFICIAL

All 26 fighters hit the scale clean in Edmonton, and Saturday's card at Rogers Place is locked in — headliner, title-chase co-main and all.

No drama. No misses. No last-minute scramble.

Every fighter on the UFC Edmonton card made weight on Friday. All 26 of them. That almost never happens, and it means Saturday night at Rogers Place goes ahead exactly as planned.

The Headliner Is Set

Joaquin Buckley came in at 170.5 pounds. Mike Malott matched him at 170.5.

Buckley brings a 21-8 pro record into the welterweight main event. Malott, fighting at home in Canada, is 14-2-1. Both men did their job on the scale. Now the talking stops.

Five rounds are scheduled for this one. The winner leaves Edmonton with real momentum in a crowded division.

The Co-Main With Title Stakes

Erin Blanchfield weighed 125 pounds. Jasmine Jasudavicius came in at 124.5.

Blanchfield is 14-2 as a pro. Jasudavicius is 15-4, and she gets the home crowd behind her.

This fight carries extra weight now. The women's flyweight title changed hands in the last month, and the winner here has a strong case for the next shot. That is not a normal co-main event. That is a door to a title fight.

A Clean Card, Top To Bottom

The rest of the main card cleared the scale without trouble. Kyle Nelson (155.5) and Cristian Perez (154.5) are set at lightweight. Marc-Andre Barriault (185) and Kyle Daukaus (186) are set at middleweight.

Every preliminary fight is also official. Thirteen fights, thirteen green lights. The prelims start at 5 p.m. ET on Paramount+, and the main card follows at 8 p.m. ET.

Clean weigh-ins do not win fights. But they set the tone. Nobody is drained from a bad cut. Nobody starts the night already beaten by the scale.

So here is the real question for Saturday. Does the home crowd carry Malott and Jasudavicius to the two biggest wins of their careers, or do Buckley and Blanchfield spoil the party in Edmonton?
